Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 24, 2026.
Honest Scooper by N. Malyshev ("Honest Scooper", "we", "us") - a sole proprietorship - provides weekly dog-waste removal in the South Bay. This policy covers honestscooper.com, our text messaging program and our phone line (669) 330-4664.
1. What we collect
What you give us: your name (optional), phone number, email, address, city and ZIP, dog count, gate and access details, and anything you write in the service-request form, text to us or say when you call. Our forms also send two pieces of basic context — the page you submitted from and a source tag — so we know which form it was; we do not fingerprint your device or track you across sites. If service is activated, we also keep the exact payment authorization you accepted and Stripe identifiers, Invoice, payment, tip, refund and dispute records. Card and wallet credentials go directly to Stripe and never reach our site or database. We do not run ad trackers and we do not buy data about you. If we use analytics at all, it is cookieless and counts visits, not people.
2. How we use it
To answer your request, schedule and perform yard visits, send you service messages (including the confirmation after each visit), and bill you for completed visits. Nothing else: no advertising lists, no profiling, no selling.
3. Gate codes and access details
Gate codes are stored encrypted, shown only to the person doing your visit, never included in notifications or emails, and deleted within 30 days after service ends. You can change or remove a code at any time by text.
4. Text messaging (SMS)
We send service and account messages only: replies to your enquiry, scheduling and visit confirmations, and the after-visit confirmation. Paid Invoices, receipts, activation links, and monthly summaries go to the email address you provide. These are transactional messages, not marketing. Message frequency varies with your service. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out; reply HELP for help or call (669) 330-4664. You may also revoke consent by any other reasonable means; telling us in a reply is enough.
No mobile information will be shared or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared or sold to any third party. Information may be shared only with the vendors that operate our messaging and billing on our behalf, solely so they can deliver those services.
5. Who we share data with
Service vendors only: Twilio routes calls and texts; our own text relay receives incoming SMS over a Tailscale-protected connection; an unanswered call may pass through a Twilio Twimlet to our Vapi voice agent; Cloudflare hosts the site and stores booking records; Mapbox verifies that a street address exists and how far it is from the rest of the route, which means the address you type and its map coordinates are sent to Mapbox when you book; Stripe handles saved payment methods, Invoices and optional tips; Resend delivers transactional email when enabled; and Telegram carries a short alert to the operator. That alert is a pointer, not a record: it carries a reference number, your city and ZIP, the service you asked for and the kind of gate access — never your name, phone number, email address, street address or access notes. Those are looked up in our own system, and each look-up is logged. Each vendor receives only what it needs to do its job. Gate codes are never included in notifications, email or payment records. We never sell personal information.
6. How long we keep it
Customer records for as long as you are a customer plus what tax law requires. Enquiries and waitlist entries that do not become customers are deleted within 12 months. Gate codes are deleted within 30 days after service ends. The record of what you agreed to — the exact price and authorization text you accepted — is kept longer, for four years after your service ends, because it is the proof of what was agreed and it has to outlast any question about it. It is deleted after that, and it is never deleted while you are still a customer.
7. Your rights
Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: text or call (669) 330-4664, or use the email link in the footer. A request is handled by a person, not a button, and we answer within 30 days. Two honest limits on deletion, so the promise means what it says: while you are an active customer we need your address and contact details to do the work, so deletion ends the service; and after service ends we keep the record of what you agreed to and what you were charged for four years, because it is the proof of the agreement, and the tax records the law requires us to keep. Everything outside that — access notes, gate codes, the rest of your file — is deleted on request. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA, and we do not collect sensitive personal information beyond the gate details described above.
8. Do Not Track and cross-site tracking
We do not track you across other websites, and we do not allow anyone else to. Because we do not collect that kind of information at all, a Do Not Track signal from your browser changes nothing about what we do. No third party collects personal information about your activity across other sites through ours.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version is posted on this page with a new effective date, and it applies from that date forward. If a change is material — if it changes what we collect, who we share it with, or how long we keep it — the effective date is moved forward and the change is described at the top of this page for thirty days, so it is visible rather than silent.
